Cast up so my hand won't swell |
My name is Mary Douglas. I broke my arm this week and I decided to write a journal about my experience in case any of my friends go through the same thing and want to know what to expect.
I have some ground rules for my blog.
1. I will not write anything mean on my site.
2. There will be NO adult content on my site.
3. This is my site, not my parents. They will help me with typing and grammar.
By the way, this is Douglas. He is the Monkey. He was born at the Birmingham Zoo.
Yes, that is his brother in the AT&T commercial
I fell off a horse this week and broke my arm. We were all three riding on a horse. We lost our balance and fell off. It was Caroline (my sister), Rachel (one of my best friends) and me.
I had to go to the doctor. I was scared but Daddy promised me everything would be OK, and Mommy was there to hold my hand. The doctors and nurses gave me some medicine to knock me out. Mama Cat came to visit because she was soooo worried. They were all very nice while they were working on my arm. After they set my arm, I got to ride in a wheelchair. Now I feel much better.
The next morning I got up to ride again. I was scared, but Gram spent some time teaching us how to ride properly. Then we went to the Flea Market. Mema came to dinner and we watched a movie. I have to take it easy for a couple of days until I get my hard cast.
I'm going to watch movies and relax today. Rango just fell off a horse like me, and he got right back on.
Thats all for now,
